Yup. That’s right. The appointed leader of the President’s team addressing gun violence did just that.

Don’t believe me? Here’s a little video ->

Hey Mr Joe, uhh… firing into the air indiscriminately is dangerous and irresponsible. What goes up MUST come down. And where it comes down when you fired two blasts outside the house with no regard for a target, you may not know until it’s too late.

Oh… and then there’s the legal aspect. In Florida last year, Marissa Alexander was awarded a 20 year sentence for firing warning shots inside her home to fend off her abusive husband. Terry Nye of Mesquite, Texas is fighting for his freedom after discharging a round into the ground of his own property to scare off a would be intruder.

His comments also bring up another interesting question. Part of the argument in defense of a ban on semi-automatic rifles is that they are easy to use. They are so easy to use in fact that anybody with minimal experience can go out and wreak mass havoc. How then can Old Joe use the argument that you don’t need an AR style rifle to defend your home because it’s too hard?

So tell me, Joe. Which is it going to be? Are you going to make us criminals with your gun legislation or your advice?
